When we were asked by our client to record the attempt by Belgian liver transplant patients to summit Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania we were a little apprehensive. While we relished the physical and film-making challenges that accompanied the trip, we were also very aware of how the budget for the project could escalate of out hand. By keeping crewing to the minimum, and recording interviews with participant before and after the event, we brought the project in on budget, secured international news coverage and recorded indelible memories for the participants.
Set design for Seussical the Musical
When not producing from my offIce near Cambridge, or filming on location somewhere in the world, I like to get involved in staging amateur shows such as Seussical the Musical. The set design for this show was influenced by the original Dr Seuss books which feature lots of white space and vibrant primary colours. This ‘empty page’ white set was the perfect space to perform this lively, child-friendly show. It was a great success. The group even loaned the set to other schools groups who wanted to perform the same show!
